Because the rustic roads are excellent places to see the scenery, the Shopkeepers revisited some that they had visited before. Naturally, Mrs. S. took the opportunity to enhance the scenery.

On a nice autumn day, the Shopkeepers decided to take a nature walk by the Root River, with Mrs. S. highlighting some of the foliage!

The Shopkeepers continued their tour of the Wisconsin Rustic Roads with a drive down the Rustic Roads of Door County. The Rustic Roads often have awesome scenery and since Door County is way up north, The Shopkeepers thought the autumn equinox would be a good day to see the change of colors. The state of Wisconsin has this supplemental highway system called “Rustic Roads” – these are county roads that have had a minimum of improvements to maintain the rustic characteristics. These are also excellent roads to drive to see the fall colors and expose oneself to nature, which Mrs. S. did. When in nature, be natural.

On a warm and sunny day, The Shopkeepers decided it would be a perfect day for Mrs. S. to spotlight some roads less traveled, and places less seen. Think of it as a photographic guide to the scenic back roads of southeastern Wisconsin.
