You get lonely being by yourself, so since Mr. S. found a friend or two in WV, Mrs. S., with the encouragement of Mr. S., found some in Michigan.  Back then, you could still find people on Craigslist (RIP CL personals), which has never been matched as a way to find random encounters.  (No other platform even comes close.)  While we were in Michigan, CL was still alive, and all those we met we met on the site.
